Antigua and Barbuda Intellectual Property and Commerce (ABIPC) hosted its prize giving-ceremony, on Friday, at the John E St Luce Conference and Financial Centre, to award the winners of the 2024 Art Competition.
The theme for World Intellectual Property (IP) Day 2024 was “IP and the SDGs: Building our common future with innovation and creativity”.
The competition tasked students with creating an art piece which depicts a superhero with his/her super suit/powers overcoming the challenges of one SDG target.
Primary School Winners:
1st Place: Liya Goodwin of Post Millennial Academy
2nd Place: Jenae Lewis of Post Millennial Academy
3rd Place: Olivia Michael of Liberta Primary School
Secondary School Winners:
1st Place: Summer Goodwin of Christ the King High School
2nd Place: Shania McKenzie of Christ the King High School
3rd Place: Gabrielle Grant of Christ the King High School
Honorable Mentions included:
Anushree Satpute of Island Academy International
Azriel Morris of Christ the King High School
Sierra Grant of Christ the King High School
The ceremony also honoured the contribution of Mr Carden Conliffe Clarke who contributed to the continuity of the competition as the office’s former Deputy Registrar.
First-place winners were awarded the Carden Conliffe Clarke Intellectual Property Awards.
