The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that occurred in Villa during the early hours of Thursday morning.
Initial reports indicate that a 27-year-old male was shot by an unknown assailant and sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was subsequently transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he is currently receiving medical treatment. His injury is reported not to be life-threatening. Further investigations are ongoing.
