ABS – The Customs and Excise Division has revealed an increase in revenue collection by over 9% for the first four months of 2025.

Comptroller of Customs, Raju Boodoo, reveals figures between January and April 2025 increased by 9.3% when compared to the same period in 2024.

Boodoo confirms the Division had collected more than EC$173.4 million dollars at the end of April 2025, surpassing the EC$158.6 million collected at the end of April 2024.

The Comptroller has also confirmed receipts as at May 20, 2025, had already eclipsed EC$200million.

Boodoo notes while the country is on track to surpass 2024 receipts, there is a need to watch how proposed increased U.S. tariffs will affect imports going forward.
