The Honourable Dwayne George, Minister of Sports and Creative Industries, proudly represented Antigua and Barbuda at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) Sporting Symposium.
The symposium provided an important platform for dialogue, collaboration and the exchange of ideas on the transformative power of sport across the Commonwealth. Discussions focused on the role of sport in national development, youth empowerment, social inclusion, economic opportunities, health and wellness, and the strengthening of sporting institutions.
As Antigua and Barbuda continues to advance its sporting agenda, our participation in these important engagements allows us to share experiences, explore new partnerships and learn from the successes of other Commonwealth nations.
Sport is more than competition; it is a powerful tool for bringing people together, creating opportunities for our young people, developing talent and building stronger, healthier communities.
As Minister, I remain committed to positioning sport as a catalyst for national development while ensuring that Antigua and Barbuda continues to make its mark on the regional and international sporting stage.
We are building more than athletes; we are building opportunities, strengthening communities and shaping the next generation of champions.
