Students seeking reviews of their preliminary CXC results have until September 15 to submit their requests, CXC Local Registrar Maritza Weste has announced.

Weste advised candidates whose preliminary slips show “ungraded” or “absent” not to panic if they completed all examination papers or submitted their school-based assessments.

“For the students who would have received their results and they’re seeing an ungraded or absent on their preliminary slip, do not be alarmed if you would have completed all your exams or submitted your SBA,” Weste said.

She said affected students should contact their school principal or administration to initiate a query with the Caribbean Examinations Council.

“What you should do is to speak with the principal, the administration at the school, and to put in for a query,” West said. “A query will go to CXC where your grades will be reviewed.”

Candidates listed as ungraded can request a review free of charge. Those seeking a review of an awarded grade must pay BDS$60 or US$30.

Payment must be made through a bank draft payable to the Caribbean Examinations Council and submitted to the candidate’s school. The school will then enter the query into the CXC system.

“If you need a query for a grade review, you will have to purchase a bank draft payable to Caribbean Examinations Council for 60 Bajan dollars or 30 U.S. dollars,” Weste said.

CXC will refund the fee if the review results in a change to the candidate’s grade. There will be no refund if the original grade remains unchanged.

“If your grade would change, CXC will refund,” Weste said. “If there’s no change, there’s no refund.”

The query period opened on August 20 and will close on September 15, 2026.

West also warned that candidates will lose access to the online results portal after September 30.

“After that day, no one will be able to access the online,” she said.
