If you’ve been on Antiguan TikTok this week, you heard it – that catchy hook you forgot you knew word-for-word.

Kingin Jarvis posted G Man’s 2009 anthem “Water” and admitted he forgot how much he used to enjoy the tune. The comments did the rest. Suddenly a whole generation remembered: yes, this was THAT tune.

    And that’s the story.

Antiguan soca star G Man, aka Mr. Too Much Woman, has been outside since 2009. Long before the algorithms. His “Water” music video was literally the First Music Video Production by Tropical Films Antigua – one of the first proper visuals coming out of the island’s soca/reggae scene. It was catchy, it was creative, it was clean – the kind of record you could play at carnival, in church, at a kids party, and still buss a whine.

In his recent Antigua Newsroom interview, Mr. Too Much Woman said it himself – he never wanted to chase slackness. He wanted to make classics. Raised between Antigua and Guyana, influenced by everyone from Beenie Man and Bounty Killer to 50 Cent, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, he built a sound that was intentionally timeless.

“Water” is proof of that formula working.

2009 to 2026 and the tune still triggers muscle memory. Kingin Jarvis didn’t just post a throwback – he proved the point G Man has been making for 15 years: Good music doesn’t expire. It just waits for you to remember it.

Stream “Water” again. Your brain still knows all the words.
